NOTD: OPI “Mod About You”

“Mod About You” is part of OPI’s Bright’s collection from 2008. It’s the perfect bubble gum Barbie pink. Normally I wouldn’t wear colors this bright in the winter but I couldn’t resist! This would be a great color to wear in the summer time for when you have a little bit of a tan. The formula of this color is thicker than others. It was almost completely opaque with just one coat!

NOTD: Holiday Nails!

8 Dec

Hey guys!  Yesterday, my sister and I took a trip to Walmart.  As always, I couldn’t leave without checking out the nail polish.  My eye was immediately drawn to this silver glitter polish by Revlon called “Stunning.”  Let me tell you, the name fits the polish perfectly.  I knew it would be perfect for layering!

When I got home I couldn’t wait to try it out.  I decided to pair it with OPI’s Designer De Better from their holiday 2011 collection which is one of my all time favorites!

This may be my new favorite nail polish combo.  It reminds me so much of Christmas ornaments!

If you’re addicted to watching youtube beauty videos like I am, you might have come across MakeupbyTiffanyD’s “Ruffian” inspired nail tutorial she posted last week.  I felt like trying something new so I thought I’d give it a go.  I have to say, I love how it turned out.  The best part is, it’s super easy!!

Colors I used- Essie’s Head Mistress & Penny Talk

You can be creative with the color combination.  I thought the red & gold would be festive for the holidays.

Nail of the Day: OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know

22 Sep

Hey everyone! Today’s nail of the day is a polish from OPI’s Spring Summer 2012 Holland collection.  Wooden Shoe Like to Know is a milky chocolate brown color with a touch of fine shimmer.  This polish is perfect for fall and winter!  The shimmer isn’t as noticeable on the nails as it is in the bottle however, when it catches the light just right, it looks absolutely beautiful.

After applying the first coat, I noticed that it was a little bit streaky and sheer but the second coat quickly fixed this problem. If you’re a fan of rocking browns for fall, you’ll love this.  Overall, I’m lovin’ this color!

What do you think? =)
